On Thursday September 10, 8 pm, we celebrate the release of the new artist book The Walter Benjamin and Albert S. project by artist Maurice Bogaert. 

Future Cities - photos and stories from the world cities of tomorrow

For the last five years photographer Yvonne Brandwijk and journalist Stephanie Bakker travelled to five of the fastest-growing cities in the world. Not to Mumbai or Shanghai, but to the up-and-coming cultural, creative and economic hubs of tomorrow: Kinshasa, Lima, Yangon, Medellín and Addis Ababa.

On the occasion of the release of our new publication A Critical History of Media Art in the Netherlands. Platforms, Policies, Technologies, edited by Sanneke Huisman and Marga van Mechelen, and with a beautiful design by Mind Design, 
Jap Sam Books and LIMA present a series of (online) events, made possible with the support of the AFK.

Artist/sculptor Lon Pennock died on March 9, 2020, after a short illness. Jap Sam Books published his last monograph Lon Pennock. Works in 2016 in cooperation with Foundation Lon Pennock. 

Two books of Jap Sam Books have been selected as The Best Dutch Book Design - Selection 2019.
