About the book:

The ParallelShow is an experimental series of collaborations of performance art practitioners. The 10 shows took place unexpectedly at and around public exhibitions in art venues in Europe and the US from July 2015 until January 2017. The ParallelShows were never announced, no invitations were sent and the ParallelShows left no physical traces.

The ParallelShow is an initiative of Frans van Lent and the Unnoticed Art Festival.

The book focuses on the (illustrated) reports by the 30 participating artists in relation to 10 ParallelShows executed between July 2015 and January 2017 in (a.o.) Tate Britain (London), Stasi Museum (Berlin), the Apollo Sanctuary (Delphi) and the Met-Cloisters (New York). Furthermore, the book contains a correspondence between Andrew McNiven and Lisa Skuret and between Ieke Trinks and Frans van Lent and an short essay by Henk Overdevest about the ambigious relations of the personal reports with the actual shows.
