As Above, So Below documents twenty-one works made by Amsterdam-based artist, Ruchama Noorda over a twenty-year period and explores the esoteric system of the belief that links her practice to thte early twentieth century Lebensreformers, the European avant-garde, and today's no-growth environmentalist movement. The book offers a comprehensive overview of the artist's installations, drawings, videos, sculptures, and performances with written commentary by the artist and by California-based art and cultural critic Dick Hebdige.

 

With O-Town House serving as Noorda's temporary time-space PORTAL (an installation adapted especially for the rooms at O-Town House), Noorda and Hebdige will talk about the publication and the collaborative process that lay behind it.
