Book launch Images of Farming -London, 04.08.2011
August 4-5, 2011, Southbank Centre, London, UK
myvillages.org and JAPSAM Books are pleased to announce the launch of Images of Farming in the UK.
The book will be launched on the 4th and the 5th of August during the Festival of Britain, at the Southbank Centre, London. Southbank Centre celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain with a four-month Festival of British culture and creativity from April 22 to September 4, 2011.
Especially for Festival of Britain, Wapke Feenstra and Antje Schiffers compiled a two-day event at the Queen Elisabeth Hall, Southbank Centre. Their Farmers' Medley includes the UK book launch of Images of Farming in co-operation with JAPSAM Books, with talks and village food, screenings of three films made by British farmers as part of the series I like being a Farming.... and Drawing Farms on the rooftop of the centre.
Location: Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, Londen, UK. Southbank Centre is one of the largest arts centres in the world, occupying a 21-acre site in the midst of London's most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames.
